Certifications and Compliance

The compliance route for each market and the current status of every authorisation: in progress, with none held yet.

The chain we have to complete for each market

Radio equipment authorisation is the first gate. Most markets require a type of approval, a conformity assessment or a supplier declaration before a wireless product may be marketed, imported or sold, and in the United States RF equipment must be authorised before it is marketed or imported.

Electrical safety comes next: the switching function is assessed against the electronic-switch and installation standards that apply in that market.

Then come the commercial duties that a buyer or an authority can inspect: an importer or responsible person in the market, correct labelling and language on the product and in the manual, and documentation that matches the shipped revision.

Where we stand today

Authorisations are in progress and none are held yet. There is no certificate number to quote, because no certificate has been issued. We state that plainly rather than display a badge with a status we cannot support.

Until an authorisation is issued for a market, that market shows a status rather than a buy action.

Markets being pursued

The first markets under review are North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, the Gulf Cooperation Council states, South Africa, Singapore and South-East Asia, and India. These are investigation priorities, based on English-language engineering procurement and similar site types. They are not approved market status, and none of them is advertised as available to ship.

Each market is opened only when its compliance package is complete and signed off. That decision sits with compliance and legal, not with marketing.
